I have never tried pole fitness before. Where do I start?

First time students should start in Intro to Pole Fitness. This introductory class will provide you with the foundation of skills required for higher levels.

I have an injury or a medical condition. Can I participate?

Students with injuries or medical conditions should consult their doctor before starting a new fitness program. While instructors will modify exercises to suit each student’s needs and abilities, it is the student’s responsibility to determine if they are able to participate. Students should alert their instructor prior to their class starting if they have any injuries or medical conditions.

What do I wear to class?

Pole fitness requires skin contact with the pole in order to perform tricks safely on the pole. The type of class you are in will determine what fitness attire is appropriate:

  • Pole Fitness Classes — Bare feet are recommended. Sports bras are recommended for protection and support.
    • Intro to Pole Fitness — Any fitness attire you feel most comfortable in
    • Level 1 or higher — Shorts are required
    • Level 3 and up — May be doing moves that require skin contact of your stomach or sides
  • Barre Classes — Regular fitness attire. Barre/grip socks are recommended.
  • Pole Conditioning Classes — Shorts are highly recommended. Indoor runners are optional.
  • Stretch Classes — Regular fitness attire. Pants/leggings and bare feet are recommended.
  • Heels Classes — Indoor heels or pole heels are required. Leg warmers and/or knee pads are recommended for floor work.
  • Twerk Classes – Booty shorts or loose fitting pants should be worn. Indoor runners and knee pads are recommended.

I am pregnant or recently had a baby. Am I able to participate?

Pregnant women or women who have had a child within 6 weeks prior to their first class are required to bring a doctor’s note in order to participate.

Can I bring my child to my class?

Children are only permitted during Kid Friendly classes. Parents/guardians are expected to supervise their little one during Kid Friendly classes.

I have taken pole fitness classes before. How do I know which level I am in?

If you have prior experience in pole fitness, please contact Lauren who can arrange a time for you to come to the studio and be evaluated by one of our instructors. After the instructor has determined your level, you will be placed in an appropriate class. Contact information can be found on the CONTACT US page.

Am I too big/small for pole fitness?

No way! Pole fitness is open to all sizes and fitness levels.

Do I need any prior dance or fitness experience to participate in the classes?

No experience necessary! Our instructors will teach you everything you need to know and adjust each exercise to suit your individual needs.

I have to miss a class. How do I cancel?

If you know you are going to miss a class, please remove yourself from the list or contact us at least 6 hours prior to your scheduled start time.  Classes cancelled less than 6 hours prior to the scheduled start time are considered late cancellations. Please read our Studio Policies for more information on late cancellations.

I want to move up to the next level. How do I know if I’m ready?

In order to ensure students are enrolled in a class that suits their skill level, each level has prerequisite requirements. Your instructor will advise you of these requirements and will inform you when you are ready to move on to the next level.

Can students under age 18 participate in class?

Students age 16 and older are allowed to participate in class with parental consent.  A parent or legal guardian MUST be present at the first class to sign the liability waiver. Students under age 16 may enroll in Teen/Kids Pole classes or private lessons.
