Embrace is turning two!

Come watch our students and staff perform in our annual showcase and celebrate our second year of business.

The showcase will be held at our studio located at: 5509 76 Avenue NW
On Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 7:00 PM.

This year’s showcase will feature 4 group routines as well as solo performances from our staff and students. Your ticket automatically enters you for a chance to win one of our awesome door prizes! Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to sponsor the upcoming Pole Theatre Canada competition being hosted by Embrace on June 23, 2018.

While this is an all ages event, the heels performances will be exotic in style and may not be suitable for young audiences.

ABOUT THE ELEMENTS INTENSIVE
The Elements Intensive is an 8 hour intensive over the course of 2 days that dives into the backbone of pole dance. Be prepared to evolve yourself as a pole dancer, competitor, trainer, teacher, and performer by learning skills on how to create longevity in your pole career. Be immersed in spin pole technique, the blue print for creating, and learning choreography, the process of staying grounded while still feeling like an aerialist, and activating parts of your mind body that will open you to becoming the most well-rounded, fluid pole dancer you can possibly be. The skills you learn in these 8 hours will allow you to continuously evolve in your pole career. The information you will be fed will be everlasting and instilled in you forever to not only better you as a pole dancer but also as a person. Join Claudia on a journey through Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire, and get ready to open your mind and body to an unforgettable experience full of valuable information, technique, and sexuality.

 

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
EARTH: Low Flow/Floor Work – Master your base work and low flow skills, learn floor work sequences, transitions, intentional directional changes, and how to use momentum to help you defy gravity.

WIND: Spin Pole – Be one with the spin pole. Learn everything you need to know about spin technique; from proper alignment, learning how to slow down/speed up the pole, and how to create clean transitions both aerially and on the floor.

WATER: Fluidity & Flexibility – If you’ve ever struggled with micro-bends, pointing your toes, flexibility, or clean transitions, “Water” will solve all your problems. We dive in to the art of grace, fluidity, and methods of illusion to help you cheat your flexibility when necessary.

FIRE: Choreography & Performing – Everything you need to know about being the best performer you can be. Learn how to “give face” at the best times, the blue print for creating/teaching choreography, and a full choreographed routine.

 

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Claudia Renee is a nationally recognized pole competitor, performer, and choreographer. She is the head instructor at the world famous BeSpun in Los Angeles, and has been pole dancing since 2009. She has taught numerous tutorials for “Cleo’s Rock’n Pole”, performed and choreographed for various well known aerial productions, including Pole Show LA and Torque Method. She has made a name for herself in the pole community by building relationships with students in her traveling workshops and her captivating performances.

She’s known for her bubbly, southern attitude, passion for inspiring and encourage individual style in others, her fluid intensity, stylistic creation for others, and unique teaching approach. She is the creator of the “Pole Conditioning Challenge” on Facebook which includes more than 3,000 members and focuses on helping pole dancers build strength to accomplish their nemesis tricks. She also developed the first “Work the Base” workshop in 2014, which caters to pole dancers of all levels and focuses on low flow. She has extensive certifications and a degree in Nutrition and Small Business Entrepreneurship. She aspires to continue to inspire the community in every way possible.

Claudia’s titles include Miss Pole Dance America Troupe Winner 2016, Miss Pole Dance America Finalist 2015, Pacific Pole Championships Level 4 Gold Medalist 2014

The inaugural Pole Theatre Canada, is being held on June 23, 2018 in Edmonton, AB at La Cite Francophone.

Pole Theatre Canada is part of the Pole Theatre World franchise. Pole Theatre competitions can be found in over 20 countries world wide. 2018 will be the inaugural Pole Theatre competition in Canada.

Pole Theatre is open to all competitors: national and international, male and female, and single, double, and group entries. Pole Theatre is more than a pole competition; It is an opportunity for pole performers to display their many and varied talents in the creation of a visual spectacular to thrill and inspire their audience.

The focus of this competition is the art of performance. Performers are encouraged to delve deep into their creative consciousness and envision a performance that will astonish and delight. Competitors must nominate one category and division that they wish to enter. A winner will be announced in each category and division, and an overall winner for each division will be announced.
